Tiens Africa Region Mr. Kevin Hou visited Nigeria
Nigeria appeared be social unstable since 20th of May 2012. Opposed to Beijing's diplomatic response of illegal clean-up policy, Nigerian Immigration Department decided to take a massive arrest of Chinese people in its economic centre Lagos and its northern city of Carew. In addition, Lagos University students held demonstrations against the name change of their University by government. The riot has blocked Nigerian major traffic lanes for four days as long. Moreover, an aircraft crash happened on 3rd of June 2012 killed 153 people on the plane. It was truly a disaster and difficult time for all people in Nigeria.
Mr. Kevin Hou, President of Tiens Africa Region arrived at the Lagos airport 2 hours after the crash. He expressed condolences and appreciation to Nigeria Manager Mr. Kit and expatriate colleagues who work hard in such tough environment. He also cheer for everyone that the objective of Tiens business is to change lives of many and create happiness to the world, so therefore God will bless Tiens. Mr. Kevin Hou specifically required the former schedule unchanged, even the fact after heard the news of the air-crash. His style of overcome challenges deeply moved fellow distributors.
First stop: Management Meeting in Lagos
On 4th of June, Mr. Kevin Hou held management meeting in Lagos Branch, hosted by new Nigeria Training Manager Mr. Kit. On behalf of Tiens Group, Mr. Kevin Hou expressed sympathy and appreciation to local management for their effort of working in the difficult environment in Nigeria; combining the local development experiences on local geographic, economic and religious, made a wonderful speech. He encouraged management and distributors in Nigeria, maintain strong and conquering fighting spirit, not to bow to difficulties in order to improve professionalism in market management.
5th of June morning, a Recognition event held in Lagos with more than 350 people attended the event. "The more you dream, the further you succeed", Mr. Yiang Zhiyu, Nigeria Country Manager gave passionate opening speech, explained the power of dream, inspire sublimation of dreams and using the appealing of dreams to boost Tiens business development.
During this Recognition event, the Tiens Nigerian Branch has issued the most excellent distributor awards for the period of January to April 2012. Also new 6 Star, 7 Star and 8 Star distributors received their ranking badge in the ceremony.
The most attractive part of the event - 2011 Luxury Car Award finally took place. Energetic and passionate distributors stepped onto the stage, share and express their joy of success.
Second Stop: Senior Leader Meeting in Port Harcourt
5th of June, after 2 hours' drive, Mr.Kevin Hou arrived in Port Harcourt, another major city in Nigeria on schedule. In spite of the domestic flights refund rate up to 70% due to the air crash two days ago, Mr. Kevin Hou persisted to continue his schedule to visit Port Harcourt. Local distributors all moved by Mr. Hou's decision, all excited to welcome Tiens Africa Region President's first arrival to Port Harcourt at the airport.
6th of June, Mr. Kevin Hou participated the Top Leaders Meeting hosted by the Branch. Mr. Kevin Hou's arrived has proven the fact that Tiens Top Management has made attention to Nigerian market, and expected more company support to the market and its people. Mr. Jiang Zhi Yu, Nigeria National Manager gave speech. In his speech, he announced some market opportunities that encourage distributors to be persistent in their market development.
Mr. Kevin Hou lead distributors for a moment of silence for the 3rd of June plane crash victims. He especially mentioned if there is any distributor's family or relatives have encountered the misfortune; please notify us so that representative from the company can express their condolences at their homes. The caring words have recognised and moved by presented distributors.
Mr. Kevin Hou shared some video clips, using Sports Star's successful stories as inspiration, taught distributors a lesson about how to be successful in Tiens business. Many distributors also shared their road to success, from no-one to someone. They believe that Port Harcourt market will exceed to the top.
Third Stop: Abuja market Guidance
After 6th of June Top Leaders Meeting in Port Harcourt, accompanied by Nigeria Country Manager Mr. Jiang Zhiyu and Abuja Branch Manager Mr. Kit, Mr. Kevin Hou arrived at his third stop in Abuja - The capital city of Nigeria. Mr. Kit on behalf of the distributors and the Abuja management team warmly welcomed Mr. Kevin Hou . Mr. Kit also briefly explained the negative situations in Abuja, including terrorist attack, disease, dust storms at the beginning of the year and soaring price hike caused by riots. Despite all difficulties, Abuja's spirit set as an example and an inspiration for Nigerian distributors. Truly the culture of Love, Tiens business has united people of different race, religion and culture, doing a business towards healthy, wealthy and happiness.
Many distributors shared their point of view. They thanked Mr. Kevin Hou's persistent decision to visit under such dangerous circumstances in Nigeria. Some of them mentioned, there are many Tiens competitors out there; however they are only pursuing short-term material goals rather than self-empowerment. Tiens has rich corporate culture that not only brings wealth but more importantly health and improves quality of lives. Doctor Mark, one of the car awardee expressed his passion, "I cannot express my success with Tiens in words and let this tell you!" He took out and pressed on his remote, his car parked outside made a beep, followed by thunderous applause of audiences.
By the end of the leader's meeting, everyone actively requested for group photo with Tiens Africa President Mr. Kevin Hou and Management Staff in Nigeria. They hope that Mr. Kevin Hou can visit Nigeria frequently to impact and encourage distributors in the Abuja market.
As Mr. Kevin Hou about to leave, the Tiens management Team heard that one Tiens Nigerian distributor's relative has passed away in the recent air crash. Mr. Hou disregarded any fatigue and made provisional decision to visit the family and presented Tiens healthcare products. The distributor was very grateful about everything help Tiens has done timely. He was touched and believed that following Tiens is the best decision in his life.
Fourth Stop: Market visiting in Ibadan
On the 9th of June Mr. Kevin Hou rushed to Ibadan Branch after 2 hours of toil of the journey. Upon arrival, Mr. Kevin Hou inspected the Ibadan office environment and kindly sent considerations to Branch Manager Mr. Leonard Zhang and two other expatriate staff. Mr. Hou also praised the contribution they have made towards Tiens market development.
Led by Mr. Kevin Hou, Top Leader Meeting held with all local senior distributors. Opening speech by Ibadan Branch Manager Mr. Leonard Zhang, was welcoming the arrival of Tiens Africa Region President. Nigeria Country Manager Mr. Jiang Zhiyu introduced the purpose of the visit is to help Ibadan market improve to the next level. Later-on, in Mr. Kevin Hou's speech, he illustrated the road of success with examples and interactive exchange with the audience. Mr. Kevin Hou also requested distributor leaders to improve themselves by reading and continuous learning. In response to the impact of various direct marketing competitors, Mr. Hou inspired and motivated distributors to strengthen their beliefs and march forward despite of challenges. Through a variety of successful examples and video clips, the atmosphere reached at its highest. Distributors were very excited to promise they will transfer the company's support to the rapid market development.
